This term there will be the re-introduction of the ‘Hwb’, a digital learning system which will provide greater access to online learning. The ‘Hwb’ is a Welsh government initiative which will allow the children to take online learning even further. The Hwb is an interactive tool, which not only allows teachers the opportunity to communicate with parents/carers about homework and upcoming activities in class, but also for pupils to access and complete online tasks.
The web address for the Hwb is https://hwbplus.wales.gov.uk/schools/6762323
Upper school children will continue using the Hwb this year to complete a learning journal to reflect on lessons completed in class. Children will be expected to complete a journal entry every Tuesday and Thursday, please support your child in doing this. Lower school children will be expected to access the Hwb at home on a regular basis.
If your child does not have access to the internet at home, please contact the school to inform your child’s class teacher. Computers are available after school for children who wish to use the school facilities.
