After half term, lower school pupils will be taking part in a photography project which will give the children the opportunity to work with Dearden’s Photography Studio in Trethomas. Children will be exploring the link between Welsh heritage and photography throughout history. In order to support this exciting initiative, we would like to invite members of the local community to come and share their life experiences with us (e.g. ex-miners, World War veterans, rugby players, ex-Bedwas Junior pupils etc.). As part of the project, members of the community will be interviewed and have their portrait taken by the children at Dearden’s studio.
If you know of anyone who you think has an interesting story to tell about their own personal history, please encourage them to contact the school. This could be a fantastic community project, but will be reliant on people offering their contributions.
