Musical Instrument Amnesty

A message from Caerphilly Music Service – Do you have a musical instrument that you don’t use anymore? A violin gathering dust? A trumpet lying forgotten at the back of a cupboard? A flute hidden in the depths of the attic? Is your instrument in general good repair?

If so, you could get involved in Instruments for Kids and give a child from a local school the gift of music and your instrument a new lease of life!

From 20-24 November, Music Amnesty Week will be running across Wales. The Welsh Government and Education Secretary, Kirsty Williams want the people of Wales to dig out their used instruments and donate them to their local drop-off point. All donated instruments will be used within our local area.

If you think you might be able to help, your local drop-off point will be Ty Penallta, Ystrad Mynach. Alternatively, instruments can be brought to Bedwas Juniors in order to be passed on.
