Thank you to all children who took part in the NSPCC sponsored ‘Danceathon’. As a school, we raised £420 – Well done to everyone!
Linked to our recent assembly from the NSPCC ‘Speak out, Stay safe’ we have decided to hold a sponsored event to raise money for the charity. The children have already brought their sponsor forms home and we would be grateful if you could collect even just a small amount for such a good cause.
Our chosen fundraising activity is a ‘Danceathon’. This will be taking place this Thursday 24th May for Upper School and Friday 25th May for Lower school. For the activity the children can bring in a bright and colourful sports kit which might include sweat bands, leg warmers or other fun sporting accessories.
All sponsor forms and money need to be collected and returned to school by Tuesday June 5th.
As part of this year’s Sport Relief celebrations, Sport Caerphilly will be delivering a road show linked to this year’s Sport Relief ‘Step Challenge’. The national target set by the organisers of this year’s event is 1 billion steps and with the support of Bedwas Junior School, the pupils will contribute to the nation achieving this goal.
The roadshow will be delivered by Sport Caerphilly coaches and staff and will consist of a variety of sports for years 3 to 6. The sessions will last 30 minutes per class. The sessions will take place all morning on Monday 5th March. Please ensure children have their PE kits in school to enable them to take part.
This is a great opportunity for the pupils in Bedwas Juniors to showcase their contribution to such an important cause and have a lot of fun while doing it.
Bedwas collected £51.95 for Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day. Thank you for your contributions to help this charity.
Well done and thank you to everyone! Bedwas Juniors raised £100 For Children in Need.
This Friday is ‘Children in Need’ day. With all the effort that went in to the preparations for Bedwas Book Day today, we thought we would keep things simple and have a ‘Pyjama Day’ on Friday with a suggested donation of £1 to go to the charity.
